HAVING PRACTICAL THOUGHTS OR IMAGINATION
We are all encouraged to imagine soothing imaginations once in a while in fact some people claim that, that is what differentiates us from primates. We all have control of what we want to think about or envision. As we do so we better be careful because if they are not practical, they may end up doing us disservice rather than giving feeling of fulfillment. When you find yourself thinking about things that you know are outwardly out of reach at the moment you better stop and slap yourself back to realism because it will only put emphasis on what you are missing in your life and forget the countless prodigious possessions/situations that you currently have. However, it is said that all great scientist of the world had impractical thoughts at that time which has led us to have what we have today now it becomes conundrum. Undoubtedly, this is where we should as in other circumstances in our fabulous lives we ought to obviously draw the boundary not to confine us but to protect us from our peculiar over ambitions.
PRESS FORWARD
Recently there has been a lot of negative talk in campuses about how going to university is a waste of valuable time. I indeed found myself in that group and even I made statements like medicine is highly overrated course and career. However, what do you do when you reach such a point where you feel like all the decisions you made in the past were grave mistakes? I have a couple of suggestions on how we can deal with these horrifying moments and avoid making other foolish costly mistakes because of our emotions;
Go back to WHY you begun in the first place. Reasons always yields result and reminding yourself will go a long way to motivate you back to the game.
Learn to be UNCOMFORTABLE. Not everything in your life will be a bed of roses and is high time we learn how to stay in the storm for just a little while before trying to locate the exit.
Be PERSISTENT. Do it again and again and this consistency will guarantee the results you want even if it seems not like it right now.
Share your GOALS. This helps to have an accountability friend who will keep you on track.
Acknowledge the CHALLENGES. Do try to overlook that obstacle to your destiny but rather draw some valuable lessons from it but don’t let them to stop you from moving forward.
Decide to BE HAPPY. When you feel low don’t allow yourself to slip into depression but rather find a way of releasing that energy, I recommend a highly strenuous activity like a sport or exercise.
Be PROUD. Stop and celebrate the many victories you had in order to be at that level.
Remember life it to short, so make the most out of it while you still can.
